Today
we had a great 2hours of play day in the creek. Temp was just above
50degrees... much improvement from 30degrees or lower! First you rode
on your vroom-vroom to say hello to “your tractor” (one of PJ's
farm equipment), and get up on one of the haybales and throw straw at
Mommy. Then we played hide and seek around the haybales until you
said “nina” (enough). So then we trotted on to the creek and you
showed Mommy the spot where we sledded just a couple weeks ago with
your cousins. You showed Mommy the exact spot where you ramped off a
couple rocks and landed safely on to the creek bed. Memorable moment!
Today that “ramp” made for a nice pretend “tar” (car) for
you. You found a stick for a steering wheel and we made a couple
trips to go get “mook” (milk) and i-kee cone (ice-cream). You
also made us walk to “Wally wold” (Wally world) to “ick a”
“ta” (pick up stuff). In between our trips you were also picking
up wood for our fire in the wood stove. You also rolled your steering
wheel stick that had become your shovel – shoveling snow in the
tractor! HA! This is when Mommy kicked herself for not bringing her
camera. You had such great time playing on the gravel/mud/rocks/cow
poop you even invited mom to join you in your tractor/car and have
you and me drive. Every once in a while you'd get out of the car,
pick up a couple rocks and throw rocks into what has become just a
puddle of water in the creek. Then you'd go back to playing with the
mud/gravel and whatever else was on that pile. Then you decided it
was time gather up more “ticks” (sticks) for Papa John's wood and
we ventured out farther into woods and you started hauling wood
(sticks)on your R shoulder like the big guys do. Boy did I ever kick
myself again for not having anything to record that moment. And then
you wanted to ride the “hickey” (horsey.) And Mommy said, we
don't have a horsey. And you begged to differ and pointed to a tree
laying on the ground that had the makings of a very nice horsey!
Mommy, how could you miss such a nice “hickey!” So you found a
nice spot to sit on and on you went with your horsey ride going....
“tigtigidig tigidig!” Then Mommy remembered Grandma's horsey ride
song and you liked the “buck, buck, buck!” part where Mommy
really pushed on the tree
hard to try and buck you off. But like a true cowboy, you hung on
tight and rode your horsey like a champ! You liked that so much you
asked “aden” (again) twice more. Mommy obliged of course. It was
absolutely fun to hear your laughter and squeals of joy going on the
horsey ride. You even pretended that Micah was there and you gave
Micah a ride and you said Micah enjoyed his ride too. Buddy, you just
melt my heart! Gonna have to ask PJ to spare the tree so we could use
it again and again for hickey rides. Off to our next adventure...
“ick a wood” (pick up wood.) So we did until Mommy found another
possible horsey ride (another fallen tree laying across the creek).
It didn't turn out to be as great a ride as the first one but you
found a nice tree bark and used it for your saddle. I didn't even
know you'd picked up on the word saddle! But you have and you picked
a good spot for your saddle and rode the horsey a little longer until
you said, “nina.” By that time, Mommy thought it was about time
to head back home. So we headed back on to the brome field and was
surprised to see Daddy heading our way. So of course, you had to show
Daddy your “tar.” This was my excuse to grab my camera, so I did.
By the time I got back to the creek you and Daddy had turned your car
into a nice looking “port” (fort.)
Daddy couldn't stay long –
thing called work.
Some
true arms hugs and some true lip kisses were thrown around and it was
back to work for Daddy.
You too went back to working on your “port.”
A
tent inside your fort. Said tent was promptly "boken"
(broken) ....
and
transformed into candles and we sang Happy birthday to you and you
practiced blowing your candles once again...
Show
me those muddy hands!
You
have this absolutely adorable habit of brushing your hands together
anytime your hands get too dirty/muddy.

Mommy your Kung fu move with a "hi-wack!"

“Mommy,

eating?
“Tramble

“I
“choot” you Mommy!” Oh! So first you fatten me up, then choot
me! I see how you are!
Yeap,
your outfit along with your shoes got thoroughly muddy. You had a
blast!
