So Loved....

by his foster mom. A week ago today, we received a handwritten letter and couple of nice outfits for Wiggly from Mrs J. What a wonderful surprise! Last Saturday, 10/6 was our 2 year referral anniversary. She has great timing! Our son took part in the opening of the presents (2 packages) while I took a video and several pictures of him opening it to give back to Mrs J. Seems so little a return but I know she would appreciate it just as we appreciated getting a picture of Wiggly with his care packages we had sent to him while we were all waiting. Our friend SB, translated the letter for us and it is still evident she still misses Eunchee. If only I could hurry things along in the adoption world, so we can go back to Korea again and have her see our son again soon. Alas that is not the case. Instead I need to gather another set of pictures and videos of our son to send to her. We are so blessed to have her as our son's foster mom. She is a part of our son's life forever. Along with the outfits and letter, we also got these handy neckerchiefs (for lack of a better term). I LOVE these things.
To use for Wiggly of course. And the ones she sent us this time are a little bigger so it fits around his neck just fine with a lot of room. They are so handy for runny noses and slobber.... you get the drift. We have been blessed in that our son has been so healthy. Even to the common cold... he's not had much of it. But if and when he gets the runny nose, one of these neckerchiefs goes around his neck and he actually uses it. Sahweet. Of course it's been a while since I've put it on him so I'll need to remind him next time it goes on. He asks for a “neenex” otherwise. Which is fine also.

How did Wiggly react to the package? Just fine really... don't think he knew the meaning of it exactly but he claimed the outfits immediately as his and I quote, “eh MINE!” I told him where they came from and he refers to them as “umma shirt,“umma nama pants” (pajama pants).

He approves!
"Eh mine!"

Is it common for foster parents to keep in contact with their foster children after they're adopted? Not sure really. I've heard of a few from our agency's forum. But the forum is only a minute percentage of what's happening out there in the adoption world. I know I am very grateful that Mrs J keeps in touch -
presents or not. We will do our best to keep her up to date of our son's life. It is the least we can do.

The next K-Pop star! jk!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Mrs J and thank you foster families.
