Pete the Cat, what's in a family

Meet Pete the Cat. Pete who kept on losing one groovy button at a time. Pete who didn't cry even after he lost all his buttons on his coat. In the end, he was left with his belly button! We heard this story just once at story time and tonight Wiggly was quoting from the book: "My buttons, my buttons, my 4 little buttons!" He is picking up so much, so quickly these days. We passed by Daddy's school today and he goes, "Mommy, look! Daddy's church!" Me, "you mean school?" Wiggly, "yeah! Daddy's cool!"  Wiggly loved playing with the glue as we dressed Pete the cat. He thanked God for story time at nap prayer today. Melt my heart.
He wanted a pic of his "camera" also.

Love how he asks for the "trap bucket" for his orange peel.
Just recording yet another day, same nightly routine in our growing son's life.
Christmas Eve, Wiggly found a fortune cookie laying around. Fortune said: "You have a lively family." HA!
So I asked our son who was in his family. And he says, and I quote, "Oh... eh Mommy!" Then I asked who else was in his family and he proceeded to name Daddy, Papa John, Grandma, his cousins even the uncles and aunts. This kid gets what a family is! Thank you Lord! What a Christmas blessing indeed!

Cake and candles

Found these pics that I'd forgotten about while weeding through pics on my hard drive. I had plenty of left over cake and icing to play with after his birthday last year.

Nummy, nummy Mommy!

That's right, concentrate on what you're doing big boy!
Tada!

Somebody's got a birthday month coming right up. In the mean time he's been practicing blowing candles...

Blowing Daddy's candles
Blowing Baby Jesus' candles

Taking over Grandma's birthday candles

Grandma didn't even get a chance!

He's got the licking of the bottom of the candles down pat also.

Thinking I'm gonna need to start on a cake idea for his birthday.

Care package away!

The baby stuff

Not really planning on a dinosaur theme.

I couldn't resist the John Deere socks. But the dinosaur socks ought to be nice and warm. Along with the hat.

Matching shoes. Daddy picked the coat. Wiggly's pick is the blanket which he slept with for about a week.

A must... bibs.

And a recordable book which we read for bebe boder. Wiggly had a part in the reading and dedication. We also included a movie clip of us reading the book. The package should get there before his December doctor check... so that MAYBE we can get a picture of him with the stuff.

Speaking of doctor check, we got his  November WBC (well baby check) dated  11/12/12 and bebe boder now weighs 20# 2oz, 28.4 in tall and 17.4in  for head circ. Bebe boder is now over 50th %tile in weight...
me thinks Bebe boder is going to be bigger than his big boder.

The one cool thing about getting these WBCs is that on the top R corner of the page, it has our last name handwritten on it and the state we live in. I LOVE seeing our name on our son's WBCs. When I first saw that on Wiggly's WBCs...(after we got matched with him), it just made everything so concrete and real. The wonder of it all is still there, this second time around. I just LOVE it! Of course it helps to see that our son is doing well, developmentally on target and is noted to be "cute and fine" for general appearance :) I just smile at that. We saw a lot of "cute and fine" on Wiggly's WBCs also.

So... is it  mid-December yet?

Where is the love?

Found this mangled mess amongst dirty dishes.

Upon confrontation, perpetrator just laughed. I say again, where is the love?
